I'll dominate 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
